Lake Forest High School

The mission of the Lake Forest Civic Orchestra is to create inspired communities by sharing high-quality musical experiences that promote lifelong learning and that reinvigorate the human spirit.

Creating Community

The Lake Forest Civic Orchestra has a tradition of supporting young musicians through collaborations with the Lake Forest High School Orchestra, the Midwest Young Artists Conservatory, and other music programs in the area. Each year the LFCO features a winner of the Walgreen Conservatory Concerto Competition, and provides solo and ensemble performance opportunities to student musicians as part of our commitment to keep music alive in Lake Forest.

Individuals and small ensembles from the orchestra perform at community events throughout the year, including the 2022 Lake Forest Memorial Day commemoration ceremony, music at Market Square during the winter holidays, the 2023 Lake Bluff Open Lands annual gala, and the upcoming Lake Forest Library 125th Anniversary celebration.
